The location was like a hidden gem, tucked away in a quiet area near Piazza Bologna. The spacious breakfast room had a charming vibe, with a lovely selection of food. Breakfast choices seemed quite basic for Italian standards but provided enough variety to start the day actually. The room offered ample space with a comfortable bed and great air conditioning, a blessing . The buses nearby made it easy to explore the city center, a major plus. The bathroom was a bit of a letdown. I had to run the water for a couple of minutes before getting a hot shower, which disrupted my routine. Some areas in the hotel could use a refurb. There were signs of wear like crumbling paint. The staff's friendliness and location made it enjoyable despite these quirks.

The hotel provides a very good service. Make sure to get standard room with an extra bed, terrace, for instance. Knowledgeable and decent staff, they smile all the time.

Charming stay with good service
My time at Villa Pirandello was filled with warmth, thanks to the very nice staff were very good for every guest. The garden area offered a peaceful retreat after exploring Rome's vibrant streets.
Though the room decor felt a bit dated, it didn't detract much from the experience. Just be prepared that you might expect more modern amenities.

The charming villa provided a tranquil retreat just a short walk from vibrant bars and restaurants near Piazza Bologna. I appreciated the exquisite breakfast options, particularly the cappuccinos, which were a delightful way to start each day. The accommodating staff made my solo trip hassle-free, allowing me to check in early and offering great recommendations. I enjoyed the spacious common areas that featured lovely outdoor seating for relaxation after a day of exploring the city.

An outstanding hotel in an excellent location surrounded by beautiful villas (the metro station Bologna is a 5-minute walk and in four stops you can arrive at Colosseo-you can also take bus 62). The rooms are very clean, very well decorated, the breakfast is delicious offering a great variety of options: fresh orange juice, yogurt, a lot of fruit including bananas, apricots, kiwi, peaches, pears. Aside from cereal, milk, bread and their very tasty cheeses you should not forget to try their unique torta della nonna (cake of the grandmother) which was by far the best pastry we tried in Rome. What impressed us the most, however, was the genuine hospitality and friendliness of the two ladies in the front desk, Luciana and Emi, who went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. They were kind enough to let us stay in the room until 3:00 although we should have checked out at 12:00. In this way we didn't have to roam in Rome until the time our train would depart for Florence. They were also very flexible with the time for breakfast and they were very eager to provide us with invaluable information about Rome. When we would arrive in our room late at night two bottles of chilled water would wait for us and this was something that moved us because it reminded us of the way our parents would treat us. Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience and we hope that we will return soon!

The location is superb. It's near the Bologna metro station. Plus, the breakfast offered a nice variety and was enjoyed in a lovely veranda.
The room sizes can be misleading. For instance, some claim to be larger than they actually are, which can. Issues like the shower not functioning properly and visible wear such as crumbling paint and water-damaged ceilings suggest some urgent need for refurbishing. It can be difficult to find without GPS or directions, even though it's advertised as close to local hotspots.

I really liked the environment ... residential area, calm, next to Luigi Pirandello's House. Very nice terrace. Staff very helpful. Not far from a commercial street with Trattorias and Restaurants.
10 to 15 mins walk from metro Piazza Bologna (if you want to reach the hotel easily, use exit 'Via Ravenna). Some basic equipments missing in the room (like a drinking glass). Breakfast was ok but not exceptionnal.

The room was clean & comfortable, quietly & big enough for two people. The linen was changed every day. Breakfast's perfect - a lot of fruit, fresh juice, cofe. Reception team very helpful, just doing their best for every guest. Location was comfortable. It's a nice place for family stay & relax.

This place is like a cozy oasis! The staff is super friendly and. The breakfast spread is pretty good, loved the cappuccinos! The location is nice and quiet, perfect after a long day of exploring. The comfy bed and clean vibe.
The shower was a bit cramped and could use some updating. Sometimes it was hard to find the place without directions.

It is a Villa indeed, with a great garden. Pure relaxing place, in where some high level income people live.
If it was closer to the city centre, it would be better for me.

Beautiful villa in quiet area (although nice restaurant on walking distance). Short walk to bus stop, little longer for metro station. Good breakfast on the veranda with fresh juices. Wifi. Friendly staff. Nice room.
Bathroom can be better for a villa/superior room (more water coming from the shower, water hose not in the way when showering, toilet seat placed solid on the toilet, airco in bathroom less noisy eg).
